It’s that time of the year again, we are planning our longest weekend trip at Language Café Accra. The air buzzes with excitement, our group chats come alive, and we start counting down the days to one of our favourite traditions: the Safari Weekend to Mole National Park.
This isn’t just another trip. It’s a journey that brings together people from all walks of life (Ghanaians, expats, travellers and visitors) for three unforgettable days of adventure, nature, and connection. And while it all looks smooth when the bus takes off from Accra, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes to make it that way.
From idea to adventure
Months before you see the flyer, our team starts planning. We look at the calendar to find the perfect weekend. We’re always looking for a weekend with holidays. This time we picked the Farmer’s Day Weekend. Friday, 5 December is a public holiday. That means you can enjoy a full long weekend without taking extra days off work.
Next, we review routes, talk to drivers, confirm our accommodation partners, and build an itinerary that’s full but never rushed. We want you to experience the wildlife at Mole National Park, the ancient Larabanga Mosque, and the peaceful northern landscapes, all without worrying about logistics. And this time we added a new destination to this trip.
We also spend time talking to local guides and small businesses. They’re the heartbeat of every trip. By working with them directly, we make sure that your experience supports local communities and keeps tourism sustainable. Our own Travel Host will make sure you will have a comfortable trip, and everyone else on the grounds do what they can do best: promote their local area.
The little details you don’t see
Every big adventure is made up of small details, and we take those seriously. The snacks on the bus, the music playlist that sets the mood, the destinations and timing… all of that is carefully thought through by our small but passionate team.
We test accommodation to make sure it’s clean, comfortable, and full of character. And we review our overall experience from the past weekends. We’ve done this weekend since 2022, but we are still improving every time.
Even the group dynamics are part of the plan. We design the trip to be welcoming, whether you join solo or with friends. By the end of the weekend, everyone feels like family.
Looking back and ahead
Over the years, we’ve had travellers who started as strangers and ended up becoming close friends. We’ve been going to local bars, danced at rest stops, and spotted elephants from just a few meters away.
When we look back at past photos, it’s not just the landscapes that make us smile: it’s the people. The laughter, the shared meals, the “wow” moments when someone sees their first elephant those are the memories we carry forward as we plan each new trip.
Ready for take-off
Now, the bags are almost packed, we still have slot(s) for you, and the countdown is on. The Safari Weekend to Mole National Park (4–7 December) is our last big adventure of the year. We can’t wait to share it with you.
Join us, and be part of the story this time. We’ve handled the details. You just need to bring your excitement, curiosity, and a sense of adventure.
See you on the bus. The wild is calling.
