We don’t just travel, we support

Travel can be more than sightseeing. It can connect people, create opportunities, and strengthen communities. That is what our Kumasi and Ashanti weekend is all about. We travel in a way that supports, not just observes.

When you join our weekend, you are not only exploring Ghana’s cultural heart. You also become part of a journey that uplifts local initiatives, small businesses, and women-led projects that make a real difference every day.

Staying local and meaningful

We choose where we stay with care. During our Kumasi weekend, we partner with places like BWO Hostel, a cozy and welcoming space surrounded by beautiful nature. BWO is more than just accommodation. It is part of the Banko Women Organization, which runs community programs that empower women through skills training, education, and entrepreneurship.

Every night spent there contributes to something bigger. It supports local livelihoods and creates opportunities for women in the surrounding community. The hostel itself reflects that mission. It is bright, creative, and full of the warmth that makes you feel instantly at home. Guests do not just pass through; they become part of the story.

The power of partnerships

Our collaboration with Banko Women Organization goes beyond logistics. It is a partnership rooted in shared values of respect, sustainability, and empowerment. We visit their workshop spaces, meet the women behind the crafts, and learn how local initiatives grow when given the right support. Travelers often leave inspired, realizing that small choices such as where you stay or where you buy a handmade souvenir can have a lasting impact.

Travel with purpose

Supporting local communities does not mean giving up comfort or adventure. It means adding meaning to every moment. We still explore Kumasi’s buzzing Kejetia Market, the Manhyia Palace, and the beauty of the Ashanti region. Along the way, we stay mindful of how we move, what we contribute, and who benefits.

During the Kumasi City Tour we enjoy lunch at TUMI Hostel and have the chance to support the initiative directly by purchasing handmade items created by the women of the NGO. These moments turn travel into connection. Every meal and every purchase helps sustain training programs, create income, and celebrate the creativity of local women.

Why it matters

Responsible travel is about recognizing the people behind the places we visit. When you travel with us, you help sustain projects like BWO and TUMI, which continue their work long after the weekend ends. You support a network of local changemakers, women who are building futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

And in return, you experience Ghana in a way that feels real, personal, and unforgettable.

When we say we do not just travel, we support, we mean it. Each step of the journey is a chance to make a positive impact. Come curious, travel consciously, and be part of something meaningful. The Ashanti Region has countless stories, and with your support, they continue to grow.
