Sunday Potluck in the Park: the last one of 2025

As the year winds down, there is one last chance to gather, share, and celebrate community before 2025 comes to a close. Our Sunday Potluck in the Park is back, and this time it’s extra special. It’s the final potluck of the year. Join us under the trees at Place 100 Park (North Ridge, Accra) on Sunday, 30 November 2025, from 1 PM until 5:30 PM. Walk-ins are welcome until 3:30 PM, but make sure to grab your ticket in advance to guarantee a spot!

This monthly event has become a beloved tradition at Language Café Accra. It’s a multilingual, multicultural gathering where everyone is welcome. People come from different backgrounds, speak different languages, and bring their own unique flavours,  both literally and figuratively. Together, we create an afternoon full of laughter, learning, and shared experiences.

What to expect

The potluck is simple, yet magical. You bring a little, we all enjoy a lot. Bring a dish from your home, a favourite drink, or a small item to share with others. Think homemade bites, fresh juice, mats or pillows to sit on, paper plates and cups, a speaker with your favourite tunes, or even a fun card game. It’s all about contributing to a shared experience.

Overhead costs like the private park venue mean we ask participants to purchase a ticket through our platform. This helps us continue offering a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

Why we love potlucks

Potlucks are more than just food. They are a chance to meet new people, practice languages, exchange cultural stories, and simply enjoy being part of a community. In one afternoon, you can meet someone who speaks a language you’re learning, laugh over a silly game, and discover a dish you’ve never tried before. It’s casual, fun, and full of those small moments that make a big impact.

How to join

Signing up is easy. You can register individually, with friends, or with family through our platform. Get your ticket in advance so we can plan ahead.

We can’t wait to see you one last time before Accra gets in party mood!
