Surfing Weekend + Cape Coast

You will meet your Travel Host and the other travelers at Afrikiko (Kanda, Accra) and drive in our rented AC bus to Cape Coast. First you will challenge yourself at Kakum National Park, where you will walk in the forest and take the high bridges to enjoy the views.

After lunch at an NGO guesthouse we will take a tour of the Cape Coast Castle. We will learn about the horrible history of this places, including visiting the dungeons and the famous "door of no return".

Then we continue to Busua. You will get some time to refresh yourself and prepare for the "welcome to Busua"- dinner buffet. You might want to go to bed early, or enjoy the sea breeze outside while playing games with your travel mates.

After breakfast we will take a beach walk to the neighboring town Butre. Don't worry, it's not super hard but well... you have to be a little sportive. With an amazing beach view we will start our first yoga session, let by a certified yoga teacher. We will also have lunch here, and then walk back to Busua.

In the afternoon there's time to relax on the beach before we start our best activity: surfing! The professional surf instructors will teach everyone how to stand on the board, but if you already know how to surf you can grab a board and get these waves.

In the evening we will have a local alcohol cocktail tasting, and we end the day with a bonfire, music and games.

In the morning after another good breakfast we will do the second yoga session. Then it's time to relax on the beach, before we start our second surf class (of surf on your own).

Around 4.30PM we have to make our way back to the hotel to prepare for the drive back to Accra. You will arrive in Accra around 11PM
