Are you currently learning a new language and do you want to practice more (often)? Here’s some of our tips.
These recommendations do very well if you are staying in Accra and want to learn Twi!
- If you’re learning the language(s) of the country you’re staying in: just go outside and listen. Get familiar with the sounds of the language, try to recognize some words, ask questions. Write down words you don’t know yet, repeat the words in your head.
- Become friends with the kids in your neighborhood if you are learning the language of your country. Okay, this may sound creepy, so start with interacting with the parents/care-givers first. Children are very talkative and enthusiastic, and very very dedicated to point out your mistakes
- Read! You can start with children’s or young adults books. Write down all the words you don’t know yet, and go through this list often. You will start remembering the words
- Watch Youtube videos about topics you’re interested about in the language you’re learning. This will be great for your listening skills, you will learn more about the topic and you will have lots of fun
Of course the best…
